Join us for an evening of prayer. This quiet and reflective service gives space for the grief and lamentation we have experienced–our long nights. It also draws our hearts and minds to the dawning of hope.

The service will begin with some readings from Scripture that provide space for lamentation and the "long nights" we face and endure. Candles will be available for you to light in prayer, prayer for those who have departed this life, prayer for griefs you endure, prayer for hope. We will then move into the prayers of the O Antiphons–titles given to Jesus as are sung in the hymn O Come, O Come Emmanuel. These prayers do not mask our pain; they do not dismiss our griefs. But through them, the related Scripture readings, and song, our "long nights" are illumined by the hope of our God.
